Acacia confusa is a perennial tree originating from Southeast Asia, botanically belongs to the legume family (Legumimosae, syn. Fabaceae). Some other common names for it are Acacia Petit Feuille, Small Philippine Acacia, Formosa Acacia (Taiwan Acacia) and Formosan Koa.

The Acacia confusa tree grows up to 15 meters high. The tree is now very common in many tropical Pacific regions, including Hawaii, where the species is invasive. Acacia confusa wood has a density of about 0.75 g/cm³. In Taiwan, they use this wood to make support beams for mines, they also convert it into charcoal. In Taiwan, Acacia confusa has been used as a traditional medicine for centuries. Aqueous extract of Acacia confusa leaves has been applied for wound healing and anticoagulation.
