Mimosa Tenuiflora or Mimosa Hostilis is a shrub native to northern Brazil and southern Mexico.
Traditionally, a tea prepared from shredded rootbark has been used for treating wounds and skin diseases. Another use is as an entheogen – in the northeastern Brazil a shredded mimosa rootbark tea is used in religious ceremonies.
