Extract from the plant Sceletium tortuosum, or Kanna. We also sell kanna in its natural powdered form and in the form of extracts.
Kanna (Sceletium tortuosum in Latin) is a succulent plant originally from South Africa, where it still grows today. It belongs to the marsupial family. It grows to a height of 30 centimeters, but has a tendency to spread wide. The leaves are 4 cm wide, green and fleshy. The flowers are white-yellow to light orange. There are many petals in the shape of thin slices.
Kanna has its firm place in South African traditional folk medicine. But it is slowly spreading throughout the world.
It has been used by South African pastoralists, hunters and gatherers since prehistoric times as a so-called mood modulator. The first mention of the herb was written in 1662 by Jan Van Riebeeck, who described why the herb should be used. Traditionally Kanna was chewed or eaten dry. It is also often smoked or snuffed. Another popular method was the production of tinctures (=alcohol extracts).
How does Merry Stony extract work?
This extract was developed by the manufacturer as a legal alternative to cannabis with a high cannabinoid content. It should therefore act like smoking cannabis, popularly known as “marijuana”, however the effects can be very different for different users.
Recommended dosage
The recommended dose is 25-50 mg and is ideally snorted
