Mapacho “shamanic tobacco” is used in many different ways in the South American Indian tradition.

We now offer you a hand-rolled set of Mapacho incenses from Peru.

How can you use Mapacho?

Light one end and let it simmer.

Use a scroll with a written prayer or song to smoke people or space.

We recommend that you first cleanse and smoke yourself, your physical and energetic body. The spirit of Mapacho also burns negative thought patterns. Light a “cigar” with a request for help or protection, or for another purpose.

Ask the spirit (deva = plant consciousness) of tobacco to help cleanse all the negative energies from the space you are in, just in your thoughts or out loud. The more people connect together in the ceremony, the stronger energy you can feel … The more often and the more consciously you connect with plant helpers, the easier and better you feel their loving help and inspiration.
