Clavo Huasca (Tynanthus panurensis), ground liana

 10.00 36.00 incl. VAT

Clavo Huasca is a liana of the Bignoniaceae family. It grows to a height of up to 80 meters. This herb grows mainly in the Amazon rainforest and other parts of South America. It is a very aromatic herb, whose distinctive aroma of bark and root strongly resembles cloves. After all, the leaves themselves have almost the same aroma.

It produces very small, white flowers that are pollinated by bees and butterflies. These flowers produce elongated and flat beans-like fruits.

In Peruvian herbal medicine, Clavo huasca is widely respected as an aphrodisiac suitable for both men and women and as a remedy for impotence. It improves sexual stamina, reduces frigidity, increases potency and promotes libido. It supports appetite, proper digestive function and helps expel excess gases from the body.

The plant is added by some shamans to the spiritual drink ayahuasca in order to reduce nausea and diarrhea. It can help with fever, muscle aches, arthritis and it can act as a general tonic. In South America, rum called Aguardiente is traditionally made from the plant.

Thanks to Brazilian scientists and their phytochemical research, it has been shown that Clavo huasca has various alkaloids. The main one is an alkaloid called Tinantine, along with Tannin, other tannins, Eugenol, apigenin and other essential oils.

Usage:

Pour one to two tablespoons (approx. 3 g) into hot water and let it infuse for 5-10 minutes. The resulting beverage can be flavored with honey or lemon etc. It is usually recommended to drink the beverage on an empty stomach about 30 – 45 minutes before the desired effect.
