Patchouli, the botanical name of which is Pogostemon quadrifolius, is a strong-smelling aromatic herb from the Lamiaceae family originating from India. It forms a unique perfume component with a very strong aroma, a woody-earthy, slightly herbal and very seductive scent. Among other things, patchouli prides itself on its aphrodisiac effects.
