We have prepared for you the “Iboga Empress” (Czech: Iboga CĂsaĹ™ovna) postcard, the original is a painting by Chrisantem Macháček in oil colors on canvas from 2023, the painting has respectable dimensions of 150 x 200 cm. Do you like it?

You can see his other artwork in his personal gallery and at LadĂrna.

Chrisantem adds to the piece:

The third completed image for the Tarot of Plant Guides (Czech: Tarot rostlinnĂ˝ch PrĹŻvodcĹŻ). The central figure is “Nima”, a grandmother who leads a Gabonese temple of the Bwiti tradition, behind her are two masks, guides from the “invisible world”. The grandmother holds a globe in her hands, an elephant with a stick dances on it, which slowly decides to throw away its crutch. An iboga root grows out of the ground and there is a skull covered with a leaf on it, the one who accepts Iboga is not afraid of death, death is a transformation and belongs to life. Chameleon plays an eight-stringed harp, can adapt to the environment in which it is located. Through music, he translates energy from the invisible world into the physical. On the upper left, a flying turtle carries away the Prague Cathedral of St. Welcome, there is no need anymore because people prefer to go to the forest…  Down in the middle are some “bandzi”, people who undergo their Bwiti initiation, dance and become a plant and the plant becomes the people who receive it. The panda bear on the bottom right prepares to dive into the ocean of his own unconscious. He has good preparation, he is not afraid of the monster he might meet there. In the lower left corner is a player of the “mongongo” musical instrument that accompanies Ibog ceremonies in Africa. On the left side of the sheet there are mosquito nets, a safe space for the bandzi, when they finish dancing, they will go lie down there, on the right side of the sheet there is a magic circle with a cross and bottles with various drinks, this is the “ritual of honoring the invisible world”. When creating art, I sometimes feel sorry that there is only one original, which is why I am glad that we can use digital technologies and please more eyes and hearts. When was the last time you sent someone a regular paper postcard?
