The wood of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine contains so-called MAO-inhibitors, which are used in traditional medicine to induce cleansing processes in the body and communication with the spiritual world. A drink that is brewed from a combination of several herbs is usually called “ayahuasca” (pronounced [ája-waska]), “yage” (pronounced [jache]), “Natem”, or “soul vine” and other names.
This extract has a concentration of 30:1, i.e. 1 gram of extract was created from 30 grams of plant infusion from Banisteriopsis Caapi, variety Red. It is traditionally used for microdosing – in the amount of approx. 0.25-0.5 grams per day. It is used to support the self-healing processes in the body without inducing states of “expanded perception of reality”, with larger doses the user experiences states approaching a traditional ceremony, phenomena such as increased sweating can occur, also vomiting, extrapolar projections (expanded, changed perception of reality), etc. Materials for further study can be found here and here in the Pachamama Herbs Magazine.
Another variant of traditional use is the preparation of a drink – it is mixed with Psychotria viridis (chacruna) or Diplopterys cabrerana (chaliponga) plants.
Users are always supervised so that they do not expose themselves to danger and to have an assistance if needed. Contact us if you need more information.
